Mile End’s very own Tishanna Carnevale is a stylist and creative with a subversive approach to the portrayal of femininity. Feminism takes a new form with the emancipation of the more negative and stereotypical women’s archetypes, such as the Bimbo or Femme Fatale, by pushing the limits of hypersexuality, superficiality, and materialism. For Tishanna, casting is a fundamental part of her design process and is always her first step. She understands the power of having a tribe that is bold, confident, and unapologetic. Tishanna plans on being a free spirit bad bitch in the next year continuing to take on freelance styling contracts and emancipating women through her hot designs.

Photographer and art director Camille Dubuc has dedicated their most recent work to depicting the layered intricacies of embodying the self. Using photography as both a documenting and performative vessel, their practice reveals the winding paths led by women and queer individuals in their own act of representation and becoming.
