Drink & Draw on May 17th

Join us on May 17th at NOUVEL ÉTABLISSEMENT for the 4th event in our 7-part monthly LIGNES DE FUITE Drink & Draw series, a night of creativity, collaboration, and celebration! This event is the perfect chance to let loose and celebrate the end of the winter semester, as well as a great after-graduation fashion show celebration.

Curated by Roxanne Ouellet Bernier and featuring DJ Meen Morren, this event is also a protest against the wrongful deletion of our @lignes_de_fuite Instagram account, a vital student project archive in Canada. We believe in the importance of social media as a public square for sharing ideas, information, and self-expression, and we're standing against censorship.

During the night, Roxanne Ouellet Bernier will present on intergenerational passivity and how it perpetuates abuse and oppression. The fashion performance will showcase garments reflecting historical elements of French Canadians, with exaggerated volumes representing the Epiphany - the story told by the garment, freeing the wearer.

Doors open at 8:30 pm, with the main event from 9-10:30 pm. Attendees are encouraged to interpret the fashion performance through their unique perspective and medium, whether as photographers, artists, designers, or writers. Plus, if you buy your tickets before May 10th, your ticket name will be "Censored Sparrow", and you'll save $5. But hurry, tickets are limited!

Don't let the misfortune of our deleted Instagram account bring you down! This is your chance to show off your creativity and share your unique perspective with our community. Mixed media artist Morhange will reinterpret a selection of submitted artworks for a 24-page editorial in LIGNE DE FUITE VOL.4, so make sure to submit your work for a chance to be featured!
