This 14-week course is for intermediate and advanced fashion design students or recent grads ready to stand out. Focused on experimental pattern-making, the program blends traditional craft with innovative digital tools to help you push boundaries and claim your space as a serious designer. And if you're ready to step up, this is where you start. Instructors Barbora Sanakova — 25+ years of experience in pattern-making and couture construction. Milan Tanedjikov — LDF founder, with deep expertise in concept development, research, and creative direction. Course Breakdown Weeks 1–7: Advanced Techniques Explore cutting-edge methods from visionaries like Shingo Sato, Tomoko Nakamichi, and Julian Roberts. You'll experiment with physical and digital tools to develop a range of innovative pattern samples. Weeks 8–14: Personal Project Translate what you’ve learned into a unique garment concept. Remix, hybridize, and push your own limits. Projects are presented at the LIGNES DE FUITE Design Research Exhibit — a high-visibility platform for new voices in design. Cancellation Policy
Course Fees & Payment Course Cost: $1,450 + taxes. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required upon enrollment. The remaining balance of $1,200 + taxes will be divided into 8 equal payments of $150 + taxes. Full payment must be completed before the final showcase. Payments are made through the Flexible Payment Plan: Flexible Payment Plan Link. Payments must be completed in full, regardless of attendance. Cancellation Policy 14+ Days Before Start Date: Eligible for a partial refund, minus the non-refundable deposit. Less Than 14 Days Before Start Date: No refund or transfer. Cancellations after Enrollment: All payments must be completed as per the payment plan. No refunds if you decide not to attend. Course Cancellation by Provider If the course is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, students will receive a full refund, including the deposit. The provider reserves the right to modify the course schedule, instructors, or content, with prior notice. Attendance & Certification Students must attend at least 80% of classes to receive a certificate. No certificate if more than 20% of classes are missed. Intellectual Property All course materials are protected by copyright for personal use only. Students retain ownership of their designs but grant LIGNES DE FUITE the right to use and promote their work for marketing, educational, and promotional purposes, including for use in social media, websites, and advertising. Photo & Video Release Students consent to their image being recorded during the course and agree to the use of these recordings for promotional and educational purposes. Liability The provider is not responsible for any personal injury or loss. Students are responsible for their own safety and should have appropriate insurance. Privacy Personal data is collected for course registration, communication, and certification and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law. Agreement By enrolling in the course, students agree to these terms and conditions. Changes will be notified to students.
